It gives us immense pleasure to invite you for the 2nd Youth Entrepreneurial Green Awards (YEGA) being organized by UBM India during 6th Renewable Energy India 2012 Expo from 7-9 November 2012 at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida.

Spread over 28,000 sqm the forthcoming expo is supported by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Ministry of Power (MoP), Government of India. Recognized as Asia’s largest congregation of Renewables, the expo is estimated to attract over 550+ exhibitors; 175+ eminent speakers; 1,000+ delegates and 12,000 + trade professionals from across the globe.

Considering India has a large youth population, it is imperative to educate them about issues that govern the future of this planet. Taking a step towards the cause, UBM India in conjunction with IYCN proudly presents YEGA. The initiative aims at empowering the youth with tools and platforms for knowledge sharing that will help them build a better future.

The Awards envision incubating new ideas and developing a generation of young people who can leverage renewable resources to reduce strain on fossil fuels and promote sustainable development.

The B2B expo will further offer insights on the cutting-edge technologies and areas which require engineering improvisations in upscaling and mainstreaming adoption of affordable RE technologies. It is an ideal platform for young entrepreneurs to network with industry leaders and showcase scalable alternative energy projects.

A panel of judges comprising of industry experts, leading analyst and eminent government official will shortlist top 10 projects.

Eligibility criteria

• Projects to be based :

-Innovative applications of RE technologies

-Empowering Rural India through RE technologies

-Energy efficiency

• Project Model must be demonstrative in nature
• The project should be developed by the applicant or a team of not more than 5 individuals
• The project to have been tested as a pilot project

 Submission of application 

• The winners will be rewarded accordingly and shortlisted participants conferred with certificate of merit.
